Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse offers fully equipped West Virginia Cabins, incredible camping, from primitive to full service, a variety of clean, well kept rental watercraft to choose from, and Summersville Lake Lighthouse Tours that overlook the cliffs of West Virginia's largest lake and the Gauley River National Recreation Area.
Because with us, trademark hospitality is more than just a tag line...it's a way of life. From the gatekeeper who greets you upon your arrival, to the housekeepers and groundskeepers who help us put our best foot forward during your stay, this is what we do here in West Virginia.
When you are here as our guest, you can take comfort knowing that we live and play here too, and take pride in our local knowledge of the region. Whether it's the latest information on one of the many State Parks that are literally at our doorstop or bet on the best fishing hole or climbing spot just down the trail from us, you'll feel as though you've found an old friend to guide you around during your stay.
CORONA VIRUS UPDATE
To All of our Guests,
In these uncertain times, we want to reach out to our guests personally about what we are doing here at the Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse to support you and your vacation plans. As it has always been, the safety and security of our guests and staff remains our highest priority. We take great pride in keeping our high standards of cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities and are implementing additional measures developed in consultation with our local and state health authorities.
Although the current COVID 19 situation has forced us to close our commons areas, i.e. Gift Shop, Showerhouse, Lighthouse Tours and Playground, we have been urged to remain open with our cabins and RV Campsites to continue accommodating travelers by providing needed basic services.
We have re-assessed all of our disinfection procedures according to local and state health protocols including deep steam cleaning our cabins and sanitizing handrails, water hydrants, trash cans, etc. at individual RV Campsites between use, everywhere, every time.
With ever increasing international travel restrictions being set in place, getting away from it all here at the Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse takes on a new appeal. The layout of our campsites and cabins allows for natural "Physical Distancing" nature of a retreat while you pursue your individual interests whether it be hiking, biking or climbing, or just take some much needed time to reinvigorate the soul.
Here at the Retreat, we believe that it is in challenging times like these that the power of hospitality is needed most of all. Whether you may be traveling now or in the future, remember that we are all in this together and that while a small amount of physical separation for now is vital in getting ahead of this, it’s the social connection that keeps us moving forward.
Safe travels, stay healthy and we hope to see you soon here at the Summersville Lake Retreat…where incredible scenery and warm hospitality meet!
